Our honest verdict
This is a genuine budget-vs-premium trade-off, not a one-sided contest. FastestVPN is Cayman Islands-based (outside the 5/9/14 Eyes intelligence-sharing alliances — see our jurisdiction explainer), offers unlimited device connections per its own site, and its lifetime-deal pricing is hard to match on pure cost. What it doesn’t have is an independent third-party no-logs audit — its no-logs claim is stated, not externally verified — and its server network (47–49 countries) is roughly a third the size of NordVPN’s. NordVPN costs more on a standard plan but backs its no-logs claim with six rounds of Deloitte audits and covers far more countries, which matters more if you travel or need reliable access to a wide range of regions.
